I really thought I had posted around the beginning of March. Turns out, I started a post but never actually finished it.
The Grand-Dogger, Hollie, has been staying with us while DD is in Ireland. Hollie is just 8 weeks old, but she sure has a ton of energy! Then she crashes where ever she happens to be. We're working on training and puppy manners.
This squirrel started visiting my backyard a week ago. I've never seen one like this before. Except for the white, this squirrel's coloring is the same as the other squirrels that visit my backyard.
These two squirrels were visiting at the same time. Their tails, faces and undersides are the same coloring with only their bodies being different. I'm wondering what's caused the one squirrel to have the white coloring and if it's sick.
I still haven't picked up a needle, but I did organize some of my threads. I even purchased a couple of kits. Maybe the stitchy bug will return one of these days.
We have a long weekend instead of a spring break this year and will be staying around home.
Wishing you safe travels if you are traveling for spring break or Easter.

February Catch-Up
My mojo has disappeared!
I have no anticipation to start a new project and no desire to pick up my needle,
although there's no shortage of beautiful designs to tempt me.
I embroidered 18 baptism napkins for my church and that's the only stitching I've done so far this year.
Rather than pushing myself to start a project, I'll just wait it out and hope that stitchy bug returns.
When I lost my mojo a couple of years ago, I felt really unsettled and that upset me - a lot.
I'm trying to stay relaxed and not stress out about it.
BIRD WATCHING
I'm not the only one watching the birds in my back yard.
Not one...not two...not three...
Yes, that's FOUR feral black cats in my trees!
It's no wonder I haven't had many birds visiting the feeders like they used to.
I was excited to see the cardinal pair briefly return to my backyard.
A NEW GRAND-DOGGER
Meet Hollie, my youngest DD's new puppy.
Hollie, an Australian Shepherd, is only 3 weeks old and not yet ready to leave her mom.
These are the parents and Hollie will look like her mom -- the red tri-color on the right.
I'm ready for the weekend!

Stitchy Gifts
Just a quick post to show you the stitchy gifts I received for Christmas.
I love the box!
The box is filled with stitchy goodness!
My youngest daughter picked all this out for me. She really has no interest in needlework at all and won't go with me if I'm going to a LNS or even JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby if I'm looking for needleworking supplies.
She filled the box with Embroidery Tracing Paper, DMC floss number stickers,
needle threader, plastic floss bobbins, straight pins, needles and floss.
Everything was packaged in those cool plastic containers and double wrapped too.
She told me she didn't know what kind of needle I used so
she "literally got one of each kind of needle the store had."
I love that the artist in her had to organize the threads by color!
My oldest daughter gave me gift cards for Hobby Lobby, JoAnn Fabrics and a local quilting store.
It's been very cold and windy, but I guess that's normal for January. The weatherman informed us this morning that history shows this is the coldest week of the year.
I'm pretty sure we've figured that out, lol.
Until next time...
