SFS - 01/2015

STITCH FROM STASH ~~ JANUARY 2015
Spent:  $2.63
Earned:   $0
Balance to Carry Over:  $22.37

Spent $2.63 on a few skeins of floss from Hobby Lobby.  It still astonishes me that with all the floss I have, sometimes I just don't have the correct color, lol!

I can't believe January is winding down and I'm still not feeling good.  The cough is getting better, but I have no energy so not much of anything getting done.

After working on several large consignment pieces last year, I've decided not to take on any consignment pieces this year.  Being sick over the holidays prevented me from getting all the stitchy gifts done so those are on the top of my to-do list.

I'm working on a Valentine mailart exchange and can't share pics yet.

It seems that some winter storms are moving through various areas of our country.  We have snow in the forecast for Saturday & Sunday and the forecasters can't agree on which track the storm will follow so they can't tell us how much snow we might get.

Be Safe

Have a terrific weekend!

All About Birds and Backyard Critters

I've missed you!

I missed Christmas and New Year's.  This is the first time in my life that I didn't get to spend the holidays with my family all because of a nasty flu bug.  After 3 weeks, I'm finally starting to feel better, but the cough is never-ending.

We went the whole month of December with mild temperatures and without a single snowflake and then as soon as the kids are to go back to school, the weather changes.  At least the 3 snow days last week gave me more time to get over this bug.

A feral cat had a litter of 5 kittens under our deck.  In early December, the kittens became much more active and bravely ventured out into the yard, up on the deck and pretty much into everything.  The Momma Cat is small, solid black, very aggressive protective and has bright yellow eyes that glow even in daylight.

The colors of the male Cardinal are vibrant, but the subtle colors of the female Cardinal are stunning!  I enjoy sitting by the woodstove and watching the birds.

I finished these two ornaments as gifts for my MIL and SIL.  These are my adaptation of Just Nan's Cardinal Tweet design.

Have a great week!
