Hi Friends,
I hope and pray you are all doing well.
Our weather has changed and we've had temps drop to the 30's for three nights last weekend. I definitely prefer warm, sunny days. As one of my neighbor says, I'm solar powered, lol.
This Giant Swallowtail visited my garden before our weather turned cooler. My petunias and zinnias have survived the frosty nights and I still have a couple hummingbirds coming to my feeders.
I have Grandson H on Wednesdays while Grandson L goes to school and then rides the bus to my house after school. The boys are here until their parents get off work.
The boys are so active and always want to help with any type of yard or garden work when Grandson L gets here from school. They harvested every apple from this little tree, lol.
Grandson L played soccer again this year. His cousin also played for the first time and our daughter, L's mom, coached the team. The team did very well this year and took first place in the end of season tournament.
Hubby had a radical prostatectomy on August 17. Hubby was off work for 2 weeks and went back to work on light duty until October 12. At his follow up appointment last week, we were told that the pathology shows that the prostate cancer had spread beyond the prostate. The doctor said they will do labs every three months for the first year, then if the PSA numbers remain below 1.0, every 6 months for the second year, and annually after that. A rise in the PSA numbers indicate that the cancer is active and Hubby will then need to have radiology treatments.
Grandson L was playing with my phone and thought a picture of embroidery floss would look cool, so he took one. I think he is right, it does look cool!
I've been trying to stitch some, but the neuropathy is so bad most days that I can only get a few stitches in. I keep telling myself a few stitches are better than no stitches. A few years ago, I started stitching an annual Halloween piece for my daughter. I was able to get this stitched and finished for this year's annual Halloween piece.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.
