There was a very loud chirping outside the
front door recently.
I peeked through the window to find this guy perched in the
corner of the porch.
The loud chirping continued
He looked this way
and that way
He looked up high
He moved to the other side of the porch and looked around
He moved again
The loud chirping continued from the windchime
til he left the porch
Still hearing the loud chirping,
I looked out the front door and
saw the male House Finch and the female House Finch
perched in the tree just steps from the porch.
(I wasn't able to get a pic through the outside door)
I imagine they are
discussing the possibility of making my porch
their new home, although no nest
construction has started yet.
Sorry about the blurry pics - I took them through a screened window.
I HOPE YOU CAN TAKE TIME TODAY
TO WATCH NATURE!
Cute pics! I love watching birds.
ReplyDeleteOh so cute and great pictures!
ReplyDeleteSure did, as i've been for an hour walk with a friend this evening..lots of sheep's and lambs along the way and little ducks with their mother.
So sweet!!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute photos! Last summer some lovely Oregon Juncos built a nest in my hanging basket. The birds hatched a flew away. The flowers had to be replaced. After all, you can't water a little bird's nest!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet bird--I've never seen one like him, Pam! I'm really enjoying seeing all the crazy places birds choose to nest at this time of year, too :)
ReplyDeleteHi Pam and thank you for sharing your lovely pictures. There is so much going on right outside our doors. We just need to look and watch. We have the hummingbirds back again and several different kinds of birds are building their nests and we even have baby mockingbirds learning to feed on their own. You have a wonderful week.
