I was going to start this post out with a congratulatory post in honor of my daughter's first teaching job at the local high school, but it's turned into this instead:
The first day of football practice, this wonderful young man collapsed on the football field shortly after practice started. He passed away not long after arriving at the hospital.
My heart goes out to the family, friends and team. In a small town, everyone knows everyone.
STITCHY STUFF
I decided to go to our camper (just me and the dogs) for a couple of days just to get away before the rush of the school year starts. I packed my clothes and 2 bags of STASH. I packed more stash than I'll use in a year, but at least I'll have some choices, lol. This is just a fraction of what I packed to work on!
STASH sent to Natasha for winning my blog give-away:
I'm off to stitch away the rest of the weekend! I hope you find time to stitch this weekend too.
Happy Stitchin'
So sorry about the young man. So sad.

So sad when someone young dies.
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea to get away from it all and stitch, lovely stash by the way
That's so sad about the young man. :(
ReplyDeleteHave a good time at the campgrounds... You deserve some R&R :)
I am sorry to hear about the loss of such a young life, and my condolences to his family and your town.
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to congratulate Natasha on winning your giveaway and acquiring such great stash - you are so generous :)

How very sad!! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to get away. I can never decide what stash to take with me when I go away and always take to much LOL
I love my package, thank you SO much!
My thoughts go out to Daniels family at this tragic time. Hope you have a good time stitching in the camper which is what I am currently doing in our motor home.
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame. I don't why these schools insist on these children being out in the heat. I had to sign a waiver for my son's season last year, but I "wrote" in my own stipulations and expectations and I would sue otherwise. They care more about the game than the players. Congrats to your daughter! I hope you got some stitching done!
