FLOWERS
We've gone a long time without rain.  Finally, Saturday evening we started getting some much needed rain.  It even rained during the night!  In all, we got just over an inch.  Today we have 40 mph howling winds.  We usually only hear the howling during the winter months.

LITTLE BIRD
We had a little bird living under our outdoor dining table.  The little thing could not fly and I was so worried that a bird on the ground would not survive the wildlife that we have in our rural area, but the little bird was able to find protection by hiding under my hostas.  We were able to watch it's community of adults encourage it to fly, keep guard and interfere with any thing that posed a threat.  It lived under that table and my hostas for over a week and then we didn't see it.  A few days ago, I was outside with the dogs and Little Bird was perched on the back of one of the chairs.  It was chirping so loud and when I looked over, it chirped even louder.  Then it flew away into the tree tops!

Little Bird on the first day.  Each day it looked better and stronger than the day before.

I've been so busy with my mom's medical appointments, board meetings and fiscal end of year procedures that I haven't had much stitching time.  I have been working on my next Christmas ornament and kitting up a couple of other projects I've been wanting to start.

I hope you all have a great week!

"Winter Sheep"
All Dolled Up

Pushed myself to get a little stitching mojo back and managed to complete my 6th ornament this year!  It's stitched on hand-dyed 32 ct. Lugana.  You can't see it in my pics, but there are faint washes of reddish-pink and purple throughout the fabric.

Now on to the piece I'm stitching for my exchange partner.  Sorry, I'm not even giving hints because I want my partner to be surprised!

Have a great week & Happy Stitchin'
