November

Thank you for all the comments and private emails regarding my daughter.  She had surgery last week and is recovering well.  DD will be seeing the doctor again next week for a post-surgical follow up and pathology results.  We're praying for a clean bill of health.

I finished the blanket last week -- just in time for the cold weather.  This is my first pieced crochet blanket as well as my first time using a continuous join-as-you-go joining method.  I'm pleased with how it turned out. Hubby and I love how heavy and warm it is.

I've been stitching the Lizzie Kate Sleds.  I'm really enjoying the cute designs, but I'm not too fond of stitching on the perforated paper.  Hopefully, the backordered sleds will arrive in time for gift-giving.  If not, I'll be making these into tags.

I have so much to be thankful for, especially my family and friends!

Wishing you and your family

a Very Happy Thanksgiving

And Safe Travels

  4. What a lovely warm blanket. I will also give a prayer for your daughter's good health. I have one sled to make for my sweet little grand daughter. This year a bought the sled when I was visiting Chicago. I have never stitched on that paper so wish me luck. A very Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

  5. Hi Pam. So glad that your daughter has the surgery behind her, and will keep her in prayer for quick healing. I love your crocheted blanket. Beautiful colors. Is there a site that I can go to, to find the pattern for it...I would love to start one. I have so much yarn stashed away. Keep up the beautiful work. LindaLee
