I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TITLE THIS POST
I was going to start this post out with a congratulatory post in honor of my daughter's first teaching job at the local high school, but it's turned into this instead:

The first day of football practice, this wonderful young man collapsed on the football field shortly after practice started.  He passed away not long after arriving at the hospital.

My heart goes out to the family, friends and team.  In a small town, everyone knows everyone.

STITCHY STUFF
I decided to go to our camper (just me and the dogs) for a couple of days just to get away before the rush of the school year starts.  I packed my clothes and 2 bags of STASH.  I packed more stash than I'll use in a year, but at least I'll have some choices, lol.

This is just a fraction of what I packed to work on!

STASH sent to Natasha for winning my blog give-away:

I'm off to stitch away the rest of the weekend!  I hope you find time to stitch this weekend too.

Happy Stitchin'

  5. How very sad!! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Glad you were able to get away. I can never decide what stash to take with me when I go away and always take to much LOL

I love my package, thank you SO much!

  7. Such a shame. I don't why these schools insist on these children being out in the heat. I had to sign a waiver for my son's season last year, but I "wrote" in my own stipulations and expectations and I would sue otherwise. They care more about the game than the players. Congrats to your daughter! I hope you got some stitching done!
